I Had to Bribe for Answers: Kareh B After Son’s Tragic Death in Chavakali Boys’ bus Accident

The mother of a 17-year-old boy, a student at Chavakali High School, tragically lost her son in a recent accident and is now demanding clarity regarding the circumstances leading to his death.

KarehB, known as the Mugithi Star, seeks answers on how her son was permitted to travel at night, which resulted in the fatal crash in Kisumu.

The devastating incident occurred on Monday, April 1, when an Easy Coach bus carrying her son crashed in Kisumu. In a heartfelt Facebook post, the grieving mother and singer expressed her pain, urging for accountability and explanations following her son’s premature departure.

She expressed dismay over the lack of communication and condolences from Chavakali High School since the accident took place. In her emotional plea for answers and justice, she wrote on Facebook, “I Need Answers 😭 Am breaking Apart… I have been a parent at Chavakali Boys for the past 4 years and no one has called to inform me of my son’s death or better still condole with me 😭 😭.”

Expressing further disappointment, she highlighted the alleged instances of bribery involved in obtaining information about her son’s fate, questioning the regard for her child’s life.

She directed her queries to various authorities, including the school, the Education Minister, and the Transport & Roads Minister, demanding accountability and measures to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

The accident occurred on Monday night along the Kisumu-Kakamega Highway, as the bus was transporting students to Nairobi after the closure of schools for the first term. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver lost control at the Mamboleo roundabout in Kisumu.

The injured were promptly taken to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisumu for medical attention, as stated by the police.
