Socialite Manzi wa Kibera recently revealed her surprise and sympathy for her 67-year-old former lover, Nzioki, upon learning that he had resorted to selling his possessions to support her during their past relationship.
In an interview with YouTuber Nicholas Kioko, the socialite admitted to being unaware of the financial difficulties her ex-partner was facing. She expressed regret for the situation, saying, “Honestly, I had no idea that he was selling his belongings to take care of me, and it saddens me. I wish him all the best, and I don’t have much else to say. While I feel bad about those stories, I am content with my current partner.”
Despite parting ways, Manzi wa Kibera extended her sympathy towards Nzioki, emphasizing that she was oblivious to his struggles in providing for her. “I feel sorry for the old man, and in this challenging time, I stand by him. Although I am surprised he responded to those DMs; I thought he would find someone else. If he has chosen to come and talk about it now, and I believe he left me with a heavy heart, what more can I say? I just pity him,” she added.
When questioned about providing financial assistance to her ex-lover, Manzi Wa Kibera clarified that her support would be limited to prayers. She also mentioned a potential monetary contribution, stating, “I will stand with him through prayers. If it’s money, perhaps five thousand or three thousand, we’ll see.”
The financial plea from Nzioki surfaced on January 11, 2024, where he sought help from the public, explaining that his relationship with the socialite had depleted his savings. He disclosed the strain on his finances, leading to the loss of his belongings and expressing distress over the situation. Nzioki attributed the breakup to financial troubles, which affected his ex-girlfriend’s feelings towards him.
In response, Manzi wa Kibera denied the financial allegations, attributing the separation to Nzioki’s alleged infidelity. She introduced her new partner, 75-year-old Daniel Njau, and accused Nzioki of cheating with multiple women while spending money on them.
