Larry Madowo is shown banging on the ugali while his female partner behind the camera gives him praise.
This ugali will get you a date, so make sure you look into the camera so we know it was really you doing the cooking: “Leo ugali itakufanye upate mtu, hebu angalia kwa camera tuconfirm ni wewe unapika.” The background chatter of a female companion was audible.
“Husband material, look at that, kimeandaliwa kuandaliwa,mume nyumbani,” Larry Madowo said in response.
Some of Larry Madowo’s fans have given him negative feedback for his culinary abilities, urging him to find a partner who will appreciate his skills.
Others, however, were preoccupied with the ugali’s portion size, noting that it could only feed one person.
If the comments are any indication, many Kenyans indeed consume extremely huge quantities of ugali on a regular basis.
