Harmonize says Khaligraph Jones is Disrespecting Tanzanian Rappers After He Challenged Them to a Rap Battle

Tanzanian Bongo Star, Harmonize, has taken issue with Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones, accusing him of showing disrespect towards Tanzanian rappers.

Earlier today, Khaligraph Jones declared that he was giving Tanzanian rappers a 24-hour window to hit the studio and create an impactful hip-hop track, rather than delving into the Amapiano genre.

Khaligraph Jones went on to extend a challenge for a rap showdown with the Tanzanian rappers, stipulating that if he emerged victorious, he would earn the respect he claims he deserves.

Responding to this, Harmonize reflected on his efforts to collaborate with Khaligraph Jones on the track “Kwame,” a collaboration that went on to secure an award. Harmonize expressed surprise at Khaligraph’s perceived arrogance and disregard for the Tanzanian music community.

Harmonize asserted that Khaligraph’s rap artistry draws inspiration from Tanzania and should not overlook this fact.

He noted the presence of accomplished Tanzanian rappers and emphasized their unmatched prowess in the game. Harmonize went on to critique Khaligraph’s rap skills, asserting that he pales in comparison to the prominent rappers in Tanzania, likening his level to that of artists like Lunya and Con boy.

In concluding his response, Harmonize accentuated that Tanzanian Hip hop operates on a distinct plane of excellence, while still maintaining support for the Kenyan hip-hop scene.
