‘GIDEON MOI WEWE NI MSALITI Umeaibisha watu wa baringo’, Kalonzo Musyoka Blasts Gideon Moi for ‘Betrayal’ After Meeting Kasongo at State House

A political storm has erupted after Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka launched a scathing attack on KANU Chairman Gideon Moi, accusing him of betraying both the people of Baringo and the legacy of his late father, former President Daniel arap Moi.

Kalonzo, visibly angered, claimed that Gideon had earlier assured him of joining the United Opposition Alliance to push for change in Kenya, only to later appear at State House in a surprise meeting with President Kasongo.

“My brother Gideon Moi, you have betrayed the people of Baringo and the people of Kenya. Joining Kasongo is the ultimate act of betrayal,” Kalonzo said.

He added that their conversation the previous night gave him confidence that Gideon was committed to opposition unity — a move that made his sudden alliance with Kasongo even more disappointing.

“When we spoke last night, you assured me you were joining the United Opposition to bring change to our country — yet you were secretly planning to meet Kasongo at State House. The same man who insulted your father and disrespected your family,” Kalonzo lamented.

In an emotionally charged statement, Kalonzo said the late President Moi would be “turning in his grave” after seeing his son side with those who once opposed and mocked him.

“You have not just betrayed the people — you have betrayed your father’s legacy,” he added.

The remarks have since stirred heated debate across the political scene, with supporters of both leaders exchanging words online. Analysts say the fallout could further strain relations within the opposition bloc ahead of the next political realignment.
