Alvindo Takataka was once a prominent figure in the Kenyan music industry, known for his hit song “Takataka” which went viral several years ago. However, he suddenly disappeared from the scene and for years, nobody knew where he was.
Alvindo was a talented Kenyan artist who gained fame with his song “Takataka”, which dealt with the theme of heartbreak and called women “trash.” He also had other hit songs featuring various artists in Kenya. In 2019, he had become a superstar and was invited to perform on popular platforms such as Churchill Show, 10 over 10, The Trend, and various clubs and events.
But his fame came with a cost. After going viral, Alvindo was signed to fast cash record label, owned by Krg the Don, for a deal worth over KSH 2 million. However, Krg says that things went downhill from there. Alvindo was influenced by other musicians and people from his background, and he began to demand more money and even threatened to kill Krg if he didn’t give him millions.
This pressure and desire for quick wealth led to Alvindo’s downfall as he turned to drug abuse, becoming a marijuana addict. This affected his mental health, and he became depressed. His boss, Krg, decided to give him a break from music.
Currently, it is said that Alvindo is living in one of the areas in Nairobi, and Krg is trying his best to support him mentally and help him make a comeback in the music industry.
