In a recent social media post, Edday Nderitu made it clear that she is not involved in any polygamous union and confirmed her decision to leave her husband, Samidoh.
In her heartfelt message, Ms. Nderitu explained that the reason for ending her marriage with the Mugithi singer was due to the toxic environment she was experiencing. Her primary concern was the well-being of her teenage daughter and her own emotional health, which prompted her to make this difficult decision.
“I want to clarify some inaccuracies that were shared online. I am not in any polygamous marriage, as has been stated. I chose to leave my husband for the benefit of whoever needed him more. It was essential for me to remove myself and my kids from the toxic environment, particularly for the sake of my teenage daughter, who has been subjected to unbelievable behavior,” she wrote.
Edday also emphasized that she has been able to provide for her children without any assistance from their father. She expressed her desire for a drama-free and peaceful new chapter in her life as she embarks on this new journey.
“I have successfully taken care of my children’s needs thus far without any help, and I have no regrets about it. In this new phase of my life, I crave only peace, not drama. I hope that in the future, my name will be left out of any such series,” she added.
It is worth noting that Edday had previously declared her stance against raising her children in a polygamous family. She expressed her support for her husband’s talent and journey but emphasized her strong belief that she couldn’t raise her kids in such a family, especially with a woman much older than her and lacking morals and respect for her family.
“I have supported and nurtured your talent throughout, but one thing I have always been clear about is that I will not raise my kids in a polygamous family, particularly with a woman who is more than ten years older than me, displaying no morals and disrespect towards my family. Despite praying for strength to pray for you daily, today I find myself at a loss for words to speak to God about you. You have caused me and my kids immense pain, and I hope this day remains etched in your memory,” she expressed in February.
