Police in Machakos have arrested a man who is said to have maliciously poisoned a 10-years-old boy to death.
According to reports by the police, the 36-year-old man is said to have served the little boy and his 46-year-old dad with the poisoned Githeri at Uvaini area, Kithimani.
It is reported that the two started complaining of stomach problems and diarrhea and were then rushed to Kithimani Dispensary.
They were then later transferred to the Matuu Level 4 Hospital where the boy was pronounced dead with the father currently in a stable state.
The reports were confirmed by Yatta Sub-county police commander who said that after samples of the food were collected, detectives asserted that the two were poisoned.
The suspect has since been arrested awaiting to be arraigned in court as investigations continue.
