DCI Detectives Sieze 50 Bags Of Weed Worth ksh 37.5 Million In Kisii

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) made a significant breakthrough in Kisii County, apprehending a suspect and seizing 50 bags of cannabis, with an estimated value of Ksh. 37,500,000.

The operation, conducted jointly by officers from Gesonso Police Station and the DCI’s Transnational Organized Crimes Unit on the night of April 23, 2024, resulted in the interception of four vehicles transporting the illicit substance.

Joseph Nisa Ouma was taken into custody after being found in possession of approximately Ksh. 30,000, suspected to be proceeds from the illegal trade. He was apprehended while traveling in a Toyota Probox with registration number KCR 176 C. Meanwhile, the other drivers managed to evade capture.

The statement issued by the authorities highlighted the seriousness of the situation, underscoring the collaborative efforts to combat such criminal activities.
