Kelvin Kinuthia, a well-known digital content creator, recently announced on his YouTube channel that he has decided to undergo laser hair removal. This decision arose from various challenges he faced with personal grooming and content creation.
Kinuthia openly shared his reasons with his audience. Primarily, he was dissatisfied with his facial hair, which affected his confidence while creating content. Shaving was a repetitive and often frustrating task that yielded inconsistent results. Additionally, visiting a barber was uncomfortable for him due to the attention he received.
“Guys, the reality is that sometimes I lose the motivation to create content because I feel I look bad and have to go get a shave. Shaving at home doesn’t give as clean a result as going to the barber. And going to the barber every time is so awkward; people stare at me like… this guy with a wig and braids, what’s he here for? But that was in the past.”
Reflecting on his grooming routine, Kinuthia admitted that despite regular shaving, he remained uncomfortable with visible facial hair. This discomfort often led him to apply more makeup to conceal the stubble, complicating his routine further.
By choosing laser hair removal, Kinuthia aims to overcome these issues and enhance his comfort while maintaining his professional appearance on camera. His decision marks a step towards greater confidence and efficiency in his daily routine as a content creator.
