Stevo Simple Boy has received a life-changing opportunity as he was appointed as an ambassador by the Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK).
Dr. Mutua, after meeting with the rapper on July 5 and learning about his struggles, made an important announcement. He commended Stevo and expressed his admiration for the rapper since his time at the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB).
“Stevo is an incredibly talented young man. I first heard about him when I was still at the Kenya Film Classification Board, and I became a fan right away. I even sent my personal assistant to arrange a meeting with him,” recalled Dr. Mutua.
However, Dr. Mutua was disheartened to discover that Stevo had been facing financial difficulties, which had even caused a strain in his management.
Acknowledging that these challenges were not uncommon, especially in the music industry where many artists are still recovering from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Mutua expressed his support for Stevo.
“He’s a remarkable individual, and it’s understandable that he’s experiencing ups and downs. Since the onset of Covid, many musicians have struggled to find their footing. We have met, and I have personally registered him as a member of MCSK,” commented Dr. Mutua.
In addition to his ambassadorial role for MCSK, Stevo Simple Boy has been appointed as a young ambassador focused on combating drug abuse.
This opportunity will enhance Stevo’s visibility and provide him with the platform to make a positive impact on society through his music and influence.
Furthermore, Stevo Simple Boy, who has also been generously provided with a new house by Peter Salasya, the Member of Parliament for Mumias East, finds solace in his ambassadorial position and the support from MCSK.
Salasya has offered to cover the expenses for Stevo’s enrollment in a three-month hairdressing course, which will enable Stevo and his wife to sustain themselves. Additionally, Salasya has pledged to assist Stevo in establishing his own business.
