Nyamira Police officers are in hot pursuit of a class five pupil who stabbed his father to death and went missing after committing the henious crime.
45-year-old Benard Nyang’au was attacked with a kitchen knife after he beat the minor for harassing his sister.
Confirming the incident, Nyamira North Sub county police commander, Patric Ngeiywa said that preliminary investigations shows that the boy attacked his unaware father while he was taking dinner.
“The boy was disciplined by his father for fighting with his sister on Wednesday and the boy got angry with the father. The boy later secretly took the kitchen knife and stabbed the father oon the back near his left shoulder,” the officer said.
“He was rushed to Kericho Referral Hospital and discharged to recuperate at home.”
The mother, Hellen Moraa said that she went to check on her husband and was shocked beyond words to find him cold dead.
He was later taken to the Kinara private hospital Mortuary in Nyamira town.
Police managed to recover the kitchen knife and are in hot pursuit of the boy who has since gone in too hiding.
