Kenyan musician and Sol Generation Signee, Benson Mutua, has recently addressed the concerns raised by some fans regarding the pricey VIP tickets for the upcoming Solfest concert. The concert, which will be held in November at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi, marks Sauti Sol’s final performance together as a group.
The VIP tickets are priced at Ksh 20,000, while regular tickets will be available at Ksh 6,500. VIP ticket holders will be treated to an exclusive Sauti Sol experience, including a personal and up-close performance, a lavish 5-star banquet with complimentary drinks, and limited-edition Sauti Sol merchandise. Despite these enticing perks, some fans have taken to social media to express their
concerns about the cost, fearing that it might prevent them from attending the highly anticipated concert.
In response to these complaints, Bensoul, a musician from Sol Generation, advised people to refrain from adopting a “broke mentality.” He suggested that if someone cannot afford the Ksh 20,000 by November to witness Sauti Sol’s performance, they have a long way to go financially. In his view, those with the means should not be discouraged from taking advantage of the VIP package.
Bensoul expressed confidence in the concert’s success, believing that the tickets will sell out. SolFest 2023 promises to be a two-day event, catering to different fan bases. The concert on Thursday, 2nd November, has been labeled a VIP show, while the one on Saturday, 4th November, 2023, is dedicated to all fans. The band emphasized that this farewell tour will offer an unforgettable experience, urging fans not to miss this culminating event at SolFest 2023.
