Kenyan musician and politician Kevin Bahati has offered to sponsor a second DNA test abroad for a woman who recently claimed to be his biological mother after initial results in Kenya showed no biological relationship between them.
The emotional saga took a dramatic turn when the woman broke down after receiving the test results. Despite the laboratory findings indicating that the two are not related, she insisted the outcome might have been manipulated or inaccurate.
Speaking about the situation, Bahati said he understands the woman’s pain and wants to remove any doubts surrounding the matter. To ensure transparency, he has volunteered to fly her to South Africa so that another DNA test can be conducted at an independent laboratory.
According to Bahati, the move is meant to settle the matter once and for all and give both sides peace of mind. He emphasized that he is not afraid of the truth and simply wants the situation clarified through a credible process.
The case has attracted widespread public attention online, with many Kenyans expressing sympathy for the woman while others have praised Bahati for agreeing to a second test abroad to verify the results.
If the new test is carried out, it could finally determine whether the woman’s long-held belief about her relationship with the singer is true or a case of mistaken identity.
