Former Kiss FM presenter, Andrew Kibe, assumed the role of a self-proclaimed crusader for ‘sanity’ among Kenyan society, particularly within the realm of celebrities. Simultaneously, transitioning from a radio host to a YouTuber, he has taken it upon himself to guide and mentor men, often referring to himself as a mentor. Despite his acerbic comments being perceived by some as trolling, he appears to relish in this activity.
Recently, Kibe took aim at celebrities whom he believes fall short as responsible fathers, outlining his grievances as follows:
Mulamwah
The comedian and his former partner, Carrol Sonnie, have been embroiled in a tumultuous saga since their separation announcement last December. Mulamwah exposed damaging insights into their relationship’s demise. Kibe criticized Mulamwah, asserting that he lacked the qualities of a suitable parent. Kibe questioned the extent to which Mulamwah sought attention, even involving his child in the pursuit of fame. He vehemently expressed, “Why resort to such extremes for attention? What kind of convoluted behavior involves dragging your child into such a chaotic situation for attention’s sake? Mulamwah, you were not ready for parenthood.”
Mulamwah later sparked confusion by initially stating that Keilah was not his biological child, only to clarify the matter following a joint photoshoot with Sonnie, confirming, “Keilah is not just my child, but our child.”
Ringtone
Gospel musician Ringtone, who labels himself the “chairman” of gospel artists, followed Mulamwah on Kibe’s list. He had been accused of neglecting a child he fathered with a woman over a decade ago. Another woman emerged last year, asserting her status as Ringtone’s second baby mama, claiming that he left her and their two children in Kisii while he led a lavish lifestyle in Nairobi.
Thee Pluto
Youtuber Robert Kamau Ndegwa, known as Thee Pluto, is romantically linked with Felicity Shiru, though rumors of his involvement with city politician Wangui Ng’ang’a persist. Amid speculation about Felicity’s pregnancy, Kibe doubted Thee Pluto’s suitability as a father.
KRG The Don
KRG The Don, another musician, faced Kibe’s judgment as a clout chaser who shouldn’t have children. Kibe criticized his behavior, stating, “If you’ve been abandoned by a woman and yet you persist in your pretense, pursuing attention, you’re nothing more than a clout chaser.” KRG The Don, father to two children following his separation from Linah Wanjiru, had gained custody of them.
Eric Omondi
Comedian Eric Omondi was another target of Kibe’s scrutiny, embroiled in a messy paternity dispute. Eric was alleged to have neglected the son he shares with former Citizen reporter Jackie Maribe. Maribe accused him of evading parental responsibilities, leading Kibe to label such individuals as “usetrists.”
Oga Obina
Kibe argued that Oga Obina’s focus on pursuing women, without adequate financial contributions, disqualified him from fatherhood. Despite having four children with different mothers, Obina claimed to fulfill his fatherly obligations and cherish his children.
Frankie Just Gym It
Fitness instructor Frankie Just Gym It had two children with each of his two partners, Maureen Waititu and Corazon Kwamboka. The dissolution of these relationships, in quick succession, had a negative impact on Kwamboka’s mental well-being.
Simon Kabu
CEO of Bonfire Adventures, Simon Kabu, was also singled out by Kibe. With two children from separate relationships and two children with estranged wife Sarah, Kabu’s personal life was under scrutiny. Sarah recently admitted concealing her marriage’s turmoil.
Kabi wa Jesus
Kabi, married to Milly Wa Jesus, has two children within their marriage and a daughter outside of it. Kibe criticized Kabi for fathering children without fulfilling his parental duties.
