Actor Onyi of Real Househelps Of Kawangware Pleads For Help To Escape Jaws Of Poverty

Onyi, a cast member of the TV series Real Househelps of Kawangware, is facing severe financial struggles despite earning millions from his acting career. In an interview with YouTuber Shiko Gitau, he attributed his current situation to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has prevented him from securing any acting jobs.

Onyi expressed his frustration, saying that he loves his work and wishes he could continue acting. However, the pandemic has made it difficult, and he wondered how one could act while wearing a mask. He lamented that the pandemic had caused him and others in the industry to suffer significantly, with no work opportunities available.

Prior to the pandemic, Onyi relied solely on acting for income. He revealed that he had to relocate from Umoja to Katani to live with his sister when he lost his income source. He added that he currently has no income and is only able to manage his home and occasionally walk around his neighborhood.

Onyi disclosed that he has five children with three different women, with two living in Sweden with their mother, one in the US, and another in Kisii with his current wife. He admitted that he is not on good terms with his baby mamas because of his financial struggles but emphasized that his children mean everything to him.

Onyi called upon Kenyan presidential contenders Raila Odinga and William Ruto to assist him and other actors who are struggling financially. He acknowledged that his situation is not unique and that many others in the industry are facing similar challenges.
