Nairobi Woman Seek Justice After Being Assaulted By Her Lover, KDF Officer, Photos Emerge

Citizen engagement officer Geoffrey Mosiria has highlighted a disturbing case of alleged domestic violence involving a woman who claims to have suffered repeated abuse at the hands of her husband.

The woman, identified as Nyambura, alleges that her husband, Otieno Muholo, who is reportedly a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer, subjected her to physical assault, threats, and intimidation over an extended period.

According to Mosiria, Nyambura claims that during some of the attacks, her husband stripped her before beating her, leaving visible scars. She further alleges that the abuse was not only physical but also emotionally humiliating, with threats involving a firearm, warning her that she would be shot if she reported him to authorities.

Fearing for her life, Nyambura says she remained silent for a long time but eventually decided to seek help. She reportedly filed a complaint at a local police station, expecting prompt action. However, she claims that the case was not adequately followed up, leaving her frustrated and vulnerable.

Mosiria, who often assists citizens whose cases are neglected, brought the matter to public attention, urging law enforcement agencies to take domestic violence allegations seriously, regardless of the accused’s status or profession.

“No one is above the law. Victims of abuse deserve protection and justice,” Mosiria said, calling for urgent intervention.

Nyambura is appealing to the authorities to arrest her husband and thoroughly investigate the allegations, stressing that she fears for her safety and worries that the situation could escalate if no action is taken.

The case has reignited discussions on domestic violence, victim protection, and accountability in Kenya, with public calls for stronger enforcement of laws safeguarding women and families.
