Popular TikTok creator Kaluma Boy has been left heartbroken after one of his supporters died in a tragic road accident while heading to his fundraiser in Othaya.
The rider, identified as Peterson Wambugu, popularly known as Moha, was on his way to stand with Kaluma when tragedy struck.
The fundraiser, held on September 28 in Chinga village, had attracted hundreds of supporters from across the country. Content creators, church leaders, and friends came together to support Kaluma, who has been struggling to care for his father after a stroke left him bedridden last year.
Kaluma’s emotional journey, shared on TikTok, has touched many Kenyans. His posts about the challenges of caring for his sick father have inspired donations ranging from food to hospital equipment. The Othaya fundraiser was meant to bring relief, but Moha’s untimely death turned the hopeful event into a painful memory.
Speaking after the tragedy, Kaluma said he was deeply hurt, knowing Moha lost his life while on a mission of kindness. He urged Kenyans to rally behind Moha’s family to give him a dignified send-off.
Many social media users have since flooded Kaluma’s page with condolence messages, remembering Moha as a true hero who died while trying to do good.
