Nakuru Family Mourns Son Shot Dead Weeks After Moving to the U.S.

A family in Sabatia, Bahati Constituency, Nakuru County is grappling with heartbreak after their son, Bidan Mburu, was tragically shot dead in the United States just weeks after relocating to start a new life.

Bidan had recently moved to the U.S., following his mother’s acquisition of American citizenship, with dreams of building a brighter future. His family describes him as a kind and caring young man whose promising life was abruptly ended in a senseless act of violence.

The Tragic Incident
According to family accounts, Bidan was fatally shot during a confrontation involving his wife. Reports indicate that a man, allegedly involved in a dispute with Bidan’s wife, accidentally discharged a firearm, striking Bidan and killing him instantly.
The sudden loss has left the family in deep shock and grief.
“He was a kind soul who always looked out for others. His death has left a void we cannot fill,” a grieving relative said.

Family Demands Justice

The family is calling for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. They believe Bidan was a victim of negligence and violence, and are urging U.S. authorities to ensure those responsible are held accountable.
“We want justice for our son. His life mattered, and his death must not be swept under the rug,” the family stated.

A Life Cut Short

Bidan’s story has touched many Kenyans, particularly those with loved ones abroad. His death is a painful reminder of the uncertainties and risks faced by immigrants, even as they pursue a better life.
