“House help bado ako Mafichoni”Tycoon Machogu and Wife Brutally Killed by Househelp in Nakuru

‎Shock and grief have engulfed Elburgon, Nakuru, following the brutal murder of prominent businessman Pius Machogu (72) and his wife Jerusha Kwamboka (70), allegedly at the hands of their househelp.
‎The respected couple, known for their active role in the Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church, had attended a worship service together before returning home on the tragic day.

‎Hours later, villagers grew suspicious after noticing the family’s livestock grazing unattended on a different piece of land. When repeated attempts to reach the couple failed, relatives in Nairobi were contacted.

‎Calls to the family’s farmhand only raised more concern after he casually dismissed worries, claiming he had gone to bed with his employers and did not want to be disturbed.

‎As tension mounted, residents mobilised and eventually alerted the police. Officers scaled the compound walls and searched the property, where they discovered the couple’s phones and personal items inside the house.

‎A deeper search led to a chilling discovery — the bodies of Mr and Mrs Machogu dumped in a well within the compound.
‎The news of the gruesome killings quickly spread, drawing stunned residents to the homestead, many struggling to come to terms with the loss of two beloved figures described as humble, generous, and deeply devoted to their faith.

‎The househelp, believed to be the key suspect, is currently on the run as police launch a manhunt.
‎The murders have left the community reeling in pain, mourning the violent end of a couple who had earned respect both in business and in church life.
