Grief has engulfed a Nairobi family following the untimely death of Victor Mwangi, a young man who tragically fell from the fourth floor of an apartment in Roysambu. The incident has left his father, Benard Mwangi, devastated as he comes to terms with the painful reality of losing his only son.
According to reports, Victor had attended a social gathering with friends at the apartment complex. What started as a normal evening quickly turned tragic when he reportedly fell from the building. He sustained multiple injuries, including fractures and severe internal trauma. Despite attempts by medical personnel to save him through CPR, Victor was pronounced dead shortly after.
The heartbreaking news has shattered his family. Speaking in anguish, Benard described his son as the pillar of hope in his life. “My only son is gone… I am broken. I just want justice to prevail so that those responsible are held accountable,” he said, holding back tears.
Witnesses recounted the shocking scene, describing how Victor’s lifeless body lay on the ground, a moment that left many residents horrified and in disbelief. His uncle further emphasized the family’s pain, noting that the tragedy was not just sudden but suspicious, raising more questions than answers.
Authorities from Kasarani Police Station have since launched investigations into the incident. Six individuals who were in the company of the deceased have been arrested as detectives work to establish the exact circumstances that led to Victor’s fall. A post-mortem revealed blunt force trauma as the cause of death, intensifying suspicions surrounding the case.
The incident has sparked conversations about safety in residential apartments, the responsibility of those who host social gatherings, and the importance of accountability when such tragedies occur. For Victor’s family, however, the biggest concern remains justice for their beloved son.
As the Mwangi family mourns the heartbreaking loss, they are left clinging to memories of a young life cut short too soon. For Benard, the pain of losing his only child is unimaginable, and his call for justice reflects not only his personal grief but also the universal plea of parents everywhere—to never have to bury their children under such tragic circumstances.
