A family dispute turned deadly has left a mother and her adult son behind bars after they fatally beat the husband and father during a heated argument.
Reports indicate the incident unfolded when the father, reportedly a heavy drinker, returned home late one night intoxicated. A quarrel erupted between him and his wife, with neighbors noting that loud arguments were common in the household—but this time, the fight turned violent.
Witnesses told investigators that the man shouted insults and became physical, prompting his son, in his twenties, to intervene. The mother and son allegedly joined forces, beating the man severely. He collapsed and later died, leaving the family and community in shock.
Police arrested both immediately after neighbors raised the alarm. The deceased’s body was taken to a local mortuary as investigations began.
During the trial, the prosecution presented evidence showing how a family argument escalated into a fatal beating. The court emphasized that, despite the deceased’s drinking habits and history of quarrels, no one has the right to take a life.
The judge sentenced the mother and son to several years in prison for manslaughter, leaving relatives devastated.
The case has reignited debates about domestic violence, alcoholism, and conflict resolution, with residents stressing that proper mediation or counseling could have prevented the tragedy.
