God’s Work Must Be Rewarded Ruto Gifts AIC Bishop Kalanzo Brand New Land Cruiser
President William Ruto has surprised many after gifting AIC Bishop Benjamin Kalanzo a brand new Land Cruiser Prado during his visit to Machakos County. The gift was presented as a token of appreciation for the bishop’s years of service to the church and the local community.
Speaking at the event President Ruto said leaders in the church deserve support because of the critical role they play in shaping society through spiritual guidance and uplifting the less fortunate. He praised Bishop Kalanzo for his dedication over the years describing him as a true servant of God.
Ruto said his gesture was meant to encourage the clergy and show them that their work does not go unnoticed by those in power. The bishop received the keys to the new vehicle amid cheers and applause from church members and leaders present at the function.
The brand new Land Cruiser Prado is expected to make it easier for Bishop Kalanzo to carry out his duties which often require travel across challenging rural terrains in Machakos and beyond.
Many Kenyans have reacted differently to the news. Some praised the President for recognizing religious leaders while others questioned the timing of such gestures given the country’s ongoing economic hardships.
Church members from AIC Machakos however welcomed the gift warmly saying Bishop Kalanzo has served faithfully and deserves the recognition.
They expressed hope that more leaders would follow Ruto’s example and support those who work tirelessly to build the nation’s moral foundation.
Political analysts say this move could be part of Ruto’s broader strategy to strengthen his relationship with religious institutions ahead of the 2027 elections.
