The education calendar was changed after the country was largely hit by Covid 19, leaving the teachers with only 10 weeks in a term to cover the syllabus and give the learners assessment at the same time.
Schools have therefore deviced a way of ensuring that they all the activities of the school in the short term.
Among such measures is the introduction of Saturday lessons whereby teachers come to school and have remedial lessons.
One teacher from a certain school in Kisumu county who had come to school on Saturday morning to teach the learners was forced to run for his dear life after he was allegedly found transferring money from the principal’s phone to his phones
The mathematics teacher reportedly sneaked into the head’s office as he was in class and being that he had the knowledge of the principal’s password, he quickly opened the his phone and transfered undisclosed amount of money to his Phone
He was however cought by the security officer who had visited the office to drop a letter.
The teacher dropped the phone on the table and fled the compound before the Principal was called and informed of the same.
The soft-spoken head urged the security official not to follow him and promised to deal with him on Monday.
