Tycoon Jimmy Wanjigi Reveals Why He Remained Hidden Despite Police Harassing His Family

Prominent businessman and political strategist Jimmy Wanjigi recently explained why he chose to stay hidden in his bunker during a police raid at his home, despite witnessing his family being harassed by the officers.

At a recent press conference, Wanjigi clarified that his decision was influenced by concerns for his safety and strategic advice from his family.

Wanjigi described the raid as a coordinated operation aimed directly at him, alleging that certain elements within President William Ruto’s administration were seeking to harm him.

He vehemently denied the accusations of possessing grenades, which he views as false. Wanjigi emphasized that his only involvement has been in charitable activities, asserting that he has never engaged in any criminal behavior.

“My choice to remain hidden was not made lightly,” Wanjigi stated. “I was aware of the imminent danger, and my family strongly advised me to stay out of sight. They recognized that I was the primary target and feared for my life if I were caught.”

Wanjigi revealed that his family, including his grandmother, was present during the raid. Despite facing harassment and intimidation, they urged him to stay hidden, believing it was the safest option.

“My grandmother and other family members showed incredible strength during the raid. They understood that if the police found me, the consequences could be fatal. They were willing to endure the pressure to protect me,” he added.

Although Wanjigi did not reveal the exact location of his hideout, he mentioned that it was within his home, allowing him to witness the entire incident. He described the situation as intense, with the police taking some valuables while searching for him.
