The former cabinet secretary of interior and coordination of government programs Dr Fred Matiangi has been having difficult times in the recent past following the allegations he made that police raided his house.
The claims were rebuffed by all the state security agencies with the DCI demanding that Matiangi provides the CCTV footage of his house to help substantiate his assertions.
However, Matiangi seemed not to be ready to provide the clips forcing the DCI to storm his house yesterday inorder to get the CCTV cameras.
The move has Elicited reactions from leaders across the political divide with Kenya kwanza leaders taking the opportunity to remind him some of the statements he used when he was calling the shots.
Nandi senator Samson cherargei has recalled one time when Matiangi justified police raids even when one has not Committed anything.
Speaking to citizen TV on Thursday, the Senator narrated how at one time he was arrested from his house naked.
“Former CS Matiang’i told us sometime back that when the police look for you and you’ve not committed any offence, then there’s no problem. This is a culture. I was also arrested naked from my bed in April 2022”, said cherargei.
