President Uhuru Kenyatta is said to be planning to bring back the country to normalcy soon alongside the Former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga this is after Jubilee Party Vice-Chairman took to the Nation publication to allege that a meeting between duo was scheduled to happen soon to discuss over the same.
On Sunday, April 11, 2021 the Nation confirmed that such a move is likely to happen, this is to stable the Building Bridge Initiative (BBI) Report ahead of 2022 general elections. Reports also indicate a move to reopen the country are underway
Murathe has also confirmed that he had heard plans to discuss the same.
“I heard about it (the meeting) also but I don’t think it gas happened yet,” Murathe said.
Several days ago, the head of state shocked the public when he ordered the closure of all activities in the country amid the looming spike in the numbers of Covid-19 cases in the country, a move that was intended to help control the rapid spread of covid among Kenyans.
The head of state ordered succession of movement in and out of Mombasa, Nakuru, Kajiado, Nairobi and Machakos after they were identified as the country’s Covid-19 hotspots, a move that never ogred well from both the political figure and the public at large.
