” 3rd and Last Chance,” Mike Sonko Says as He Takes Conjestina Back to Rehab

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has once again shown his support for ex-boxing champion Conjestina Achieng’ by enrolling her in rehabilitation for the third time. Expressing disappointment over Achieng’s recent admission to the Mombasa Women’s Rehabilitation Centre, Sonko conveyed in a statement that his previous efforts to assist the boxer had been undermined.

Despite setbacks in Achieng’s healing journey, Sonko remains resilient, stating, “I’m a person who doesn’t give up in life. It is for this reason that we have given Conjestina the third and final chance again on her case.” He informed the public that Achieng was readmitted to the Mombasa Women Rehabilitation Centre, where she will commence her treatment anew under the care of specialists, including counselors, consultants, and physiatrists.

Media personality Carol Radull recently revealed Achieng’s relapse, expressing concern for the former boxing champion’s ongoing challenges. Radull shared insights from her visit, shedding light on Achieng’s struggles.

In 2022, Mike Sonko facilitated Conjestina Achieng’s admission to the Mombasa Women Empowerment Network Hospital in Miritini, where she remained until her full recovery.

Sonko’s intervention followed a plea from Achieng’s son Charltone, who sought assistance for his mother battling mental illness. In June 2023, she was discharged after successfully completing her rehabilitation program, appearing to be on the right track to recovery at that time.
