One family in Machakos County, Kangundo Sub-county, has been left in shock and fear after they found a mysterious pot containing the names of some family members.
The family, led by Martha, has broken the silence and revealed that they were informed about the mysterious pot by their neighbors.
When they looked inside the pot, there was a small piece of cloth with the names of family members written on it, including Martha, her children, and her brothers.
She also added that she believes the message is linked to land disputes. She confirmed that it was not normal and that she is currently shaken by the incident.
“Neighbours called me and said they had seen something strange in my compound. When I went to check, I found a black pot with a white cloth on the side. My name, that of my son, and even my brothers were written on it. I was really shaken because I knew this was not normal,” Martha said in a statement.
The drama has left the villagers shocked and not knowing what to do.
This also comes at a time when some individuals have been using questionable means, including bewitching or even threatening innocent people, to get what they want instead of following the law.
It is not clear who was behind the incident. Similar cases have been reported in the country, not only in Ukambani. Let us hope that the authority will protect the family.
