Dagoretti North MP Anthony Kibagendi has sharply criticized National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula in a fiery exchange that has sparked debate across the political scene.
Speaking during a public address, Kibagendi claimed that Wetang’ula lacks the moral authority to preside over Parliament. In a strongly worded statement, the MP declared that someone he described as “unable to manage his own household” should not be entrusted with leading over 400 Members of Parliament.
Kibagendi went further, daring the Speaker to take action against him, insisting he was ready for any political confrontation. He also alluded to alleged incidents in Tokyo and accused Wetang’ula of questionable conduct in Parliament, terming it “nonsense.”
The remarks have intensified tensions within the National Assembly, with observers now waiting to see whether the Speaker will respond or take disciplinary measures.
