Eunice Wambui, popularly known by her stage name Nyasuguta, is a renowned figure in the entertainment industry, particularly for her role in the KBC series Vitimbi.
Recently, social media has been abuzz over her dramatic transformation, prompting Nyasuguta to explain why she chose to bleach her skin.
The actress revealed that her decision to bleach was not driven by personal preference but as a response to a tragic incident. In 2013, Nyasuguta was involved in a severe car accident that left her with facial injuries and uneven skin tone. The aftermath of the accident caused noticeable discoloration on her face, which led her to seek a solution.
“I looked like I had two facial complexions because I had a dent on my face that was lighter than other parts of my face,” she explained. “I thought it was best to use bleach to achieve a more even skin tone. My mother encouraged me, saying I should consider how people would perceive me as a public figure appearing in Nairobi with scars all over my face.”
Nyasuguta’s decision was, therefore, not purely cosmetic but a necessary step to address the physical effects of her accident and restore her confidence. Her story highlights how personal challenges can influence decisions in the public eye.
