Tiktoker Kinuthia Reveals His Family Never Wanted Him Shoot Content As A Crossdresser

Crossdresser Kelvin Kinuthia has opened up about how his family initially opposed his decision to create digital content. In a candid conversation with Boina, Kinuthia explained that his family was concerned about the backlash he might face on social media.

He shared that his mother was particularly affected, feeling hurt every time she read the negative comments about her son’s posts. Eventually, the situation escalated to the point where his family organized a meeting to discuss his content creation. They advised him to stop posting while dressed in women’s attire due to the overwhelming hate he was receiving.

“Initially, my mom was skeptical about it because she would read the comments and was shocked by the way people were attacking me. It got so bad that we had a family meeting, and I was told to quit TikTok because the hate was too much. They couldn’t understand why people would hate me for no reason,” Kinuthia recalled.

Despite the pressure, Kinuthia stood his ground. He encouraged his family to allow him to continue with his content, reassuring them that the criticism was directed at him, not them. He didn’t feel intimidated and was determined to carry on.

“I sat down with them and asked, ‘Why should we let others feel like they’ve won when we’re the ones who should be winning? It’s about me, not about you. The comments they make are theirs, not mine.’ I told them I wouldn’t stop and that I would continue doing what I do,” he added.

Although his family had concerns at first, Kinuthia revealed that today, his mother and sister are proud of him and fully support his content creation journey. He also admitted that the online criticism no longer bothers him. Whether people refer to him as “she” or “he,” Kinuthia remains unapologetic about his choice to wear feminine clothing, as it has become an integral part of his personal brand.
