Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has sharply criticized Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, accusing him of being used by the government to mislead Kenyans.
Speaking during a public address, Salasya alleged that Sifuna’s recent political statements and activities are aimed at confusing citizens while the administration continues with its agenda unchecked. He claimed that some opposition figures may be indirectly helping the government rather than holding it accountable.
Sifuna has not publicly responded to the allegations.
The remarks add to growing tensions within the opposition ranks, where divisions have emerged over engagement with the government and the direction of coalition politics ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Political observers note that public exchanges between leaders are intensifying as alliances continue to shift across the country.
