Shock has gripped Holo village, West Songhor-Kisumu County after a mother exhumed the remains of her son and took off to an unknown destination.
It is reported that the lady identified as Caroline Obong in company of six others exhumed the body of her son, Elijah Obuong who was buried three weeks ago.
It is also said they re-buried the coffin and wrapped the body with a polythene bag before driving off to an unknown place.
Confirming the incident, Kisumu County Commander, Samwel Anampiu said that it still remains unclear why the mother and the six exhumed and took off with the body.
Our officers from Koru Police station are dealing with this matter that is still under investigation,”
Anampiu said.
Area police have launched a manhunt for the team’s aid to be from Uyoma village, Siaya County.
