Sharon Otieno was a 26-year-old born in Kenya to Douglas Otieno Melinda Auma, her parents. Before her gruesome murder, Sharon Otieno was a student of Rongo University studying a course in Medical Records and Information.
Not so much is known about her early childhood life and siblings. She was the girlfriend of Migori Governor Okoth Obado.

A peasant farmer named in Ogero village named Moses Ongili found Sharon Otieno dead in a pool of blood on September 4th, 2020. This happened a day after she was abducted. Sharon Otieno was found with several wounds on her body, stabbed three times in the neck, four times in the back, and once in the left side of the abdomen, and even stabbing her 7 months old baby in her womb.

It is believed that the ghost of Sharon Otieno has been haunting Migori Governor, Okoth Obado’s Obado and his bodyguards giving them all sort of nightmares. There were reports that Sharon Otieno´s ghost was cited in the cells of the governor.

Sharon Otieno was buried in her grandfather’s home in Magare Village, Kanyabala on Friday, October 19, 2018. Sympathizers and well-wishers including NASA leader Raila Odinga were all in attendance.
