Kenyan President William Ruto bestowed a significant blessing upon Baringo County on the 14th of December when he graced a ceremony dedicated to the sale of goats and the upliftment of Baringo’s residents. Ruto took the lead in the selling process, introducing an unprecedented initiative.

A total of 3,000 goats were put up for sale, contributed by various residents of Baringo County. Ruto declared that all these goats were to be purchased by senior government officials and the supporting entourage that had gathered.

Setting a remarkable example, the president, alongside Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, personally acquired 1,000 goats, each purchased at Ksh. 15,000, resulting in a total payment of Ksh. 15 million.

In a display of unity, President Ruto proceeded to disclose a lengthy list of cabinet secretaries, spearheaded by Murkomen, who collectively acquired 150 goats. Members of parliament, county assembly members, donors, and successful business figures purchased the remaining 2,000 goats at Ksh. 13,000 each, amounting to a total payment of Ksh. 26 million. All transactions were conducted in cash.

In a remarkable feat, President William Ruto successfully raised Ksh. 41 million in just 10 minutes for the people of Baringo. This extraordinary act served as a substantial boost and an early Christmas gift for the residents, leaving an indelible mark of gratitude towards the president for his unparalleled generosity.
