Ringtone Apoko, a prominent figure in Kenya’s gospel music industry, has once again captured the online spotlight. The singer, notorious for boasting about his opulent lifestyle and immense wealth, recently decided to flaunt his latest extravagant purchase—a pair of shoes worth millions of Kenyan shillings.
During an interview with an online media outlet, Ringtone revealed that he had sent his manager abroad to acquire these exclusive sneakers. He proudly disclosed that the shoes were adorned with a layer of gold, which significantly contributed to their exorbitant price tag.
According to Ringtone, the extravagant sneakers set him back a whopping Ksh. 12 million. Despite the staggering sum, he regarded it as a small amount, considering the comfort and satisfaction they brought him.
While showcasing his newfound footwear, Ringtone took the opportunity to address those who had labeled him as destitute. He vehemently denied such claims, asserting that his net worth amounted to a staggering Ksh. 50 billion. The musician was quick to clarify that his wealth surpassed that of any Kenyan artist, with the exception of Prophet Odepo from Nigeria, whom he regarded as his only African counterpart in terms of affluence.
Ringtone didn’t shy away from expressing his opinion about fellow musician Krg the Don, asserting that his own wealth far surpassed that of his counterpart. He dismissed Krg’s millionaire status as trivial, considering it a mere fraction of his own financial holdings. Preferring to maintain an air of mystery surrounding the exact prices of his various outfits, Ringtone refrained from divulging further details, citing accusations of excessive boasting and ostentation.
