Orange Democratic Movement Party Leader, Raila Odinga has explained how he will be allocating stipends amounting to Ksh 6,000 to poor Kenyans without raising the taxes.
He said that he plans to raise atleast Ksh 100 billion social welfare money if Kenyans will elect him as president come 2022.
Raila who was speaking on Wednesday, October 13, in Nairobi added that the Ksh6,000 monthly stipends will be funded through budget cuts and money recovered from graft.
He added that through his government, atleast 2 million households in a aim to cushion them from the raging economy burden.
Odinga also added that the Ksh100 billion estimated cost will also involve cuts from ministries with each ministry taking a 25% budget cut adding to the ksh37 billion which is already in place.
Previously, Kenyans had questioned Raila’s move to promise cash to alleady starving citizens with some his move was far fetched.
