RAILA is a traitor, he betrayed Kenyans – ODM Senator criticizes BABA for joining RUTO’s Gov’t as he vows never to follow in his footsteps

Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka has firmly declared that he would never accept a job offer from President William Ruto’s administration.

In a recent interview, Onyonka voiced his disapproval of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and other opposition leaders who have aligned themselves with the government, accusing them of abandoning the citizens. When asked about his own stance, Onyonka unequivocally stated that he has no intention of joining Ruto’s regime at this time.

“I can’t join the government because the things I would tell the president, he wouldn’t like,” Onyonka explained.

The Senator, who played a role in the disclosure of the controversial Adani-JKIA takeover deal documents, reiterated his commitment to holding the government accountable. Although he is a member of Raila’s ODM party, Onyonka made it clear that he would not blindly support the government just because of party loyalty.

“I will stay in the Opposition. I respect our party leader Raila, but I will continue to provide oversight to the government,” he asserted. “I was not elected to simply applaud the government when it introduces harmful policies.”

Onyonka emphasized that he prefers to remain in the Opposition rather than betray the trust of those who elected him. Unlike some politicians, the Senator clarified that his role in the Senate is not to rubber-stamp government policies without critical examination.
