The Communication Authority of Kenya has suffered a blow to Neno Evangelism Church boss, James Nga’ng’a after the authority banned him from broadcasting live events.
The CA directed that the station should stop aring live events with immediate effect for the next six months.
This comes after SASA TV aired inappropriate program on October 3, 2021.
“The Communications Authority of Kenya has directed M/S Neno Evangelism Centre, a broadcaster operating as SASA TV, to stop airing live programming with immediate effect. This directive shall be observed for a period of six months,” read the CA statement in part.
The CA noted that SASA TV was in violation of the Kenya Information and Communications Act, 1998, Broadcasting Regulations, 2009, the Programming Code and Broadcasting License Conditions.
The Station was also ordered to employ qualified personnel acredited by the Media Council of Kenya.
The blow comes few weeks after the Media Council of Kenya (MCK) declared war on the Station for airing offensive content.
