Pastor Mackenzie’s Follower Vows to Continue Fasting Despite Deaths: “I Will Follow What He Says”

A member of the Good News International Church, led by Pastor Paul Mackenzie, has pledged to continue following the teachings of his spiritual father, despite the ongoing investigation into the cult’s activities. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations recently discovered 18 additional bodies believed to be followers of Mackenzie, bringing the total death toll to 58. The cult members reportedly starved themselves to death in the false hope of meeting Jesus.

Despite Mackenzie’s imprisonment and the fatalities, one follower, Pastor Darius, remains loyal and insists that his spiritual father is a true servant of God. Darius claimed that Mackenzie is being unfairly targeted and that he will continue to follow his teachings, including fasting for 40 days to meet Jesus.

During a recent exhumation exercise in Shakahola village, detectives discovered an elderly woman who was reportedly in poor health. However, despite the efforts of rescuers and medical personnel, the woman refused treatment and insisted on being left to die. She was ultimately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
