Renowned vernacular presenter and Pastor Benson Gathungu, popularly known as Kiengei, is reportedly contemplating reconciling with his former wife, Keziah, and marrying her as a second wife.
According to blogger Martha Mwihaki Hinga, Kiengei is inspired by the example set by the famous Kikuyu musician, Muigai Wa Njoroge, who is known for practicing polygamy.
Kiengei and Keziah were previously married for several years until their relationship was strained due to issues of infidelity. Consequently, Kiengei entered into a marriage with a woman with whom he had been having an affair while still married to Keziah.
In 2021, Keziah herself entered into a marriage that was privately attended by guests. However, her marriage was short-lived. It is rumored that she discovered her husband was being financially supported by an older woman residing in the United States of America, leading her to initiate a divorce.
