However, despite the song’s online success, Ngesh and her crew did not earn the financial rewards they had expected. As music trends shifted and Gengetone lost popularity, the spotlight on Ngesh quickly dimmed.
The fame and fast life she had enjoyed in Nairobi soon faded. With no consistent source of income, Ngesh made a bold and surprising decision—she left the city and returned to her hometown of Naivasha.
In a candid interview, Ngesh revealed that moving back home gave her peace and a chance to reconnect with herself. She now does casual jobs to support herself and remains positive despite the challenges.
