“Nilikuwa nampenda” – Samidoh opens up on being rejected by Shiru Wa GP

Mugithi musician Samidoh recently reminisced about his childhood crush on gospel singer Shiru Wa GP, who happened to be his classmate at the time. Samidoh shared an amusing anecdote on his Instagram, describing Shiru’s mother, Mrs. Anne Muratha, as a strict disciplinarian.

In his Instagram post, Samidoh revealed that he was inspired to write a letter to Shiru after being influenced by his admiration for country music legends like Don Williams, Kenny Rodgers, and Alison Krauss. He fondly remembered Mrs. Waithaga, their English teacher, who always maintained a no-nonsense attitude and occasionally wore a unique t-shirt. On one particular day, he mustered the courage to pen a letter to Shiru.

“I remember this girl, Mrs. Anne Muratha’s daughter, Shiru Wa GP. We were in class 6B while I was in 6L. Mrs. Waithaga, our English teacher, was teaching us English and she was quite strict. I recall her wearing that distinct t-shirt on that day. So, one day, I decided to write a letter to Shiru,” Samidoh wrote.

He further explained, “I composed lines inspired by the country songs of artists like Don Williams, Kenny Rodgers, Alison Krauss, and many others. In the evening, after school, I handed her the letter.”

Unfortunately, Samidoh didn’t receive a positive response from Shiru. Instead, his letter ended up in the hands of the staff, as he humorously revealed.

“Mrs. Wamuratha told me to return to class and bring my composition book. I hurriedly fetched it and gave it to her. She began showing other students how well I had been writing compositions. Then, she pulled out the letter I had written to Shiru, her daughter. She had marked it with corrections and gave me a score of 39 out of 40,” Samidoh recalled.

Samidoh’s Dramas

In April, Samidoh found himself at the center of attention for an entire week after blogger Edgar Obare claimed that he had another romantic interest in America.

“Kikuyu artist Samidoh has another side chick in America 🇺🇸. #samidoh,” Obare tweeted.

Critics wasted no time in trolling Samidoh’s baby mama, Karen Nyamu, after Obare shared a video of Samidoh and the alleged woman enjoying each other’s company in a car.

Some netizens mocked Karen Nyamu, suggesting that Samidoh had “married” a third wife.

“Looks like you have a third wife somewhere,” commented Njuguna Caro on Karen Nyamu’s Instagram post.

Karen Nyamu quickly responded to the comment, questioning whether Njuguna Caro’s own husband married her in a similar fashion.

“@njuguna_caro Hahaha, did your husband marry you that way?” Karen Nyamu retorted.

“Seems like there’s another co-wife somewhere,” another user named Nyambura9785 teased Karen Nyamu.

“We’ve heard that you are the third wife,” added Manjir Muthoni.

Laughing off the trolls, Karen Nyamu dismissed the claims of Samidoh having a third wife, specifically responding to Muthoni’s comment.

“@wanjir_muthoni Hehehe, you wish,” Karen Nyamu replied.
