For the first time, artist Stevo Simple Boy has opened up about his childhood, shedding light on a period of his life that has long been shrouded in mystery.
Stevo revealed that his early years were far from the joyful experience every child deserves. His childhood was overshadowed by illness, to the point where his own mother believed he had passed away. Remarkably, he recovered against all odds.
In a surprising revelation that has left his fans with many questions, Stevo shared that he once fell gravely ill, to the brink of death, only to miraculously come back to life.
So, what happened?
“As a young child, I was extremely sick, to the point of death. To be honest, I actually died. But by God’s grace, my life was restored. My biological mother had taken me to the hospital, and when I appeared lifeless, she thought I was gone. They gave me injections and medication, but nothing seemed to work. However, through God’s salvation, I came back to life,” Stevo recounted.
The artist also disclosed that after completing his eighth-grade exams, he couldn’t continue his education due to poor performance, which hindered his entry into high school.
“I grew up in Oyugis and attended school from kindergarten to seventh grade. After that, I moved to Nairobi’s Kibera, where I completed eighth grade, but I didn’t pass. My music career began in Oyugis, but I moved to Nairobi to further develop my skills,” Stevo shared.
Addressing those who criticize his appearance and make jokes about his face, Stevo said, “Don’t judge people; God created me as I am, and He has bestowed grace upon me.”
