Popular sports commentator Fred Arocho has sparked reactions online after sending a deep message to singer Kevin Bahati about money and lifestyle.
Speaking during an interview, Arocho revealed that he once advised Bahati on the importance of living a quiet, wealthy life.
“Niliambia rafiki yangu Bahati kwamba pesa haitaki kelele. Ukiingia kwa nyumba yenye pesa, hakuna kelele nyingi. Hata mazishi yenye pesa huwa kimya, na badala ya kupiga nduru nyingi, mwili hupelekwa funeral home na sio mortuary,” Arocho said.
His message quickly went viral as many netizens agreed that true wealth is often silent and doesn’t need unnecessary show-offs. Others, however, felt that Bahati’s flashy lifestyle is part of his brand as an entertainer.
Bahati, who has never shied away from showcasing his success, is yet to publicly respond to Arocho’s remarks.
