Content creator Carrol Sonie recently opened up about the emotional challenges she faces while raising her daughter, Keilah, who bears a striking resemblance to her estranged baby daddy, Mulamwah.
During a candid Question and Answer session on YouTube, a fan inquired about the difficulties of being the sole caregiver for Keilah. Sonie shared that she has never co-parented with Mulamwah and has relied solely on the support of her parents.
Expressing the deep emotional pain she experiences, Sonie lamented the heartbreak of seeing her daughter’s face and recognizing the likeness to a father who has denied and neglected them. In her words, “I don’t know if it hurts or what, but my fans, especially moms, imagine raising a child who has been rejected, and her face resembles that of her father? What do you do? You keep moving anyway.”
Despite the challenges, Sonie revealed that she has reentered the dating scene and found a supportive partner. She teased that when the time comes to introduce her new man to the world, it will be a momentous occasion, emphasizing that she has distanced herself from Mulamwah, who denied being Keilah’s father.
“My significant other prefers to stay away from the camera, but let me tell you, the day I decide to introduce him, oh, the world will come to a standstill. Forget about what people are saying about traditional ceremonies. Ours will bring the world to a halt.”
In a significant move, Sonie shared that she has removed Mulamwah’s name from her daughter’s full name. Keilah is now officially named Keila Khoe Wangui Muthoni.
The ongoing child support dispute between the two parents has been a source of contention since Keilah’s birth in September 2021. Despite the challenges, Sonie remains resilient, navigating the complexities of single parenthood while embracing new beginnings in her personal life.
