A church wedding slated for Saturday in Kapsoiyo, Bomet County, faced an abrupt cancellation when the prospective bride, Nelly Chepkoech, implored the planning committee for additional time to contemplate her decision.
Pastor Clement Chalulot, overseeing the Kapsoiyo Africa Gospel Church (AGC), disclosed that the cancellation occurred despite the groom’s family fulfilling traditional requirements, including the payment of dowry consisting of three cows.
In an exclusive interview with Citizen Digital, Chepkoech clarified that she did not entirely call off the wedding but rather opted to “postpone” the event. She went on to provide insights into the circumstances surrounding the unexpected turn of events on that Saturday.
