Kenyan social media sensation Roseline Atieno, widely known as ‘Rozzie,’ has refuted any claims of being related to comedian Vanessa Akinyi, also known as Cartoon Comedian. Rozzie, who recently gained widespread popularity following the viral video of her emotional farewell to her employer’s family in Lebanon, has faced speculations about a possible familial connection with Cartoon Comedian.
In an interview with Bennie Experience, Rozzie clarified that she has no familial ties with the comedian and underscored that they do not know each other. “No, I don’t know her. We are not related,” she stated.
Despite both women garnering attention for their distinct similarities, Rozzie, originally from Siaya County, emphasized the lack of any personal relationship with Cartoon Comedian, who hails from Nairobi.
The emotional video capturing Rozzie’s farewell in Lebanon elicited a strong response from social media users. However, Rozzie explained during the interview that the emotional reaction from her employer’s children was attributed to the motherly love she had provided them during her two-year tenure in Lebanon. She dismissed claims that the children were emotionally attached because their employer had neglected them, asserting that he was always present for his kids.
Rozzie, a mother of two, shared that she learned about the viral video from a friend residing in Lebanon and expressed her satisfaction that the Lebanese family was supportive and happy for her.
Discussing her work in Lebanon, Rozzie revealed that she ventured to the Middle East in 2021 to earn money for the support of her two children. She disclosed plans to return to Lebanon after her vacation in Kenya and expressed openness to working in her home country if a suitable job opportunity arises. “I will return… if I am offered a job in Kenya, I will work,” she affirmed.
