For the first time since April 2019, Tanzanian Bongo star Diamond Platnumz has revisited a familiar wardrobe choice. The renowned artist opted to wear a jacket that had previously made an appearance in 2019 during the filming of the collaborative music video for “Tetema,” where he was featured alongside Rayvanny.
Diamond Platnumz, the head of WCB, recently unveiled a new collaboration titled “Commando,” featuring musician G Nako. In one of the scenes from the music video, Diamond was spotted sporting an orange jacket. What escaped the notice of many fans was that this particular jacket had made its debut in 2019 during the Tetema video shoot.
Taking to his Instastories, Diamond revealed that he had carefully preserved the jacket for over four years. The Bora Nienjoy hit-maker went on to commend himself for his exceptional caretaking abilities, emphasizing that not everyone can successfully maintain garments purchased four years ago in such good condition.
“I’ll let you in on a secret: the jacket I wore in ‘Commando’ is the same one I wore in the Tetema video. This is called preservation and respecting one’s possessions. In short, it’s about not squandering wealth,” Diamond stated.
Given Diamond’s usual practice of wearing an outfit only once, witnessing prominent artists reuse clothing is a rare occurrence.
